Thank you for all your work in starting and maintaining the Astoria Senior Center Newsletter. It has been a major factor in our resurgence in activity here over the last 6 months. We were averaging 25 to 35 members at our monthly membership meeting, then 45 then 60. Yesterday at the November meeting we had over 150 packed in we had to take down the partition wall in order to accomodate the crowd.
Your compelling coverage of the City Council meetings really helped galvanize and bring our seniors together to make our neigborhood safer.
Particularly in the last two months our sign in register for the month has risen significantly from 1,543, 1,702, 1,843, then 2,154 in September and 2,154 in October. We are thankful for you as the driving force that started the newsletter and for your continuing monthly contributions. Your efforts have been a catalyst helping us to be recognized as the place for seniors to go in the Pacific and Clatsop County area for fun activities and social interaction.
